Lou

Hi, I’m Louise, I’m a Mum of two boys and two boy dogs, living in the beautiful village of Hurstpierpoint. I was brought up with golden retrievers and springer spaniels so my love for our four legged friends started young. As a child I dreamt of becoming a vet, but in my teens I took a Saturday job in a hairdressers and fell in love with
the salon environment. I went on to train to be a hairdresser followed by a dog groomer (it was all hair to me!).

Fast forward and a dream came true (albeit during a global pandemic) when I set up Groom Shed. It was just a shed, but it was my shed! And I was very fortunate to welcome so many wonderful clients through my door. The business and our fantastic team has expanded throughout the years and we now look forward to welcoming you to our new salon, Be:Dog.

Sophie

Hi, I'm Sophie. I too live in Hurstpierpoint and am mum to two children, Charlie & Bea, and Lola the springerdoodle. Lola has been groomed by Louise and Hannah and is genuinely excited to enter the salon, she would rather a dip in a swampy puddle than a clean bath but she loves seeing the team for cuddles.

I've worked extensively as a Personal Assistant in lots of busy businesses in London, Brighton and New York so I love using all my experience to make sure the shop and salon are running smoothly. We are passionate about running the salon in the most planet friendly way we can; through sourcing products, the Green Groomers Collective and even the coffee and tea we serve.

Hannah

Hi, my name is Hannah and I love dogs! I love literally everything about them. I often think if I could move to a planet that was populated by just me and a bunch of dogs (hubby and kid too, of course) then life would be soo good….

I'm a fully qualified canine trainer, behaviourist and groomer. I spend nearly every waking hour with dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes, helping both them and their owners with all forms of canine obedience and training.

Lauren

Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm originally from Somerset but have settled in Sussex. I studied psychology and psychiatry but got distracted by delicious food and found myself in restaurant management.

My interest in and love of dogs has always been with me however, and since “retiring” to Sussex at the ripe old age of 30, I've studied dog training, psychology, grooming and I've run my own dog walking business. I'm a very proud dog mum to cocker spaniel Chewie.

Chewie

I’m Chewie. I’m the goodest boi and my hoomum can't bear to be away from me (yawn) so I often accompany her to work at the salon.

I get covered in other dogs' hair, but its ok because I also get lots of treats and compliments about my hair. I’m ball and stick mad, I love long walks and campervan holidays with my people.
